Of course, the first decade of the 21st century has ended, so I will assume that we are to discuss trends that could affect the Disney Company in the future.
The trend most likely to affect Disney is global climate change. This could affect Disney directly if cities with Disney parks become less liveable due to rising sea levels. However, the more likely impact will be indirect. The most likely impact will be caused by measures taken by governments and/or consumers to prevent climate change or at least to slow it down.
For example, if governments impose carbon taxes, Disney could be affected. People might be less likely to fly or drive long distances to Disney parks if transportation prices rise due to carbon taxes. Disney might also have to pay more for the electricity that it uses to power its attractions. This would increase the price that consumers would have to pay and would (all other things being equal) reduce demand for Disney theme parks.
