What does Lady Capulet's question to Juliet "How stands your disposition to be married?" suggest about their relationship in Romeo and Juliet?
A woman who knew Juliet well would already know that answer. Thus, I believe this demontrates that Juliet and her mom (like most teenage girls and their moms) did not really talk all that much. Some teen/parent relationships grow into great friendships. However, for Juliet and her mom, there was apparent division. There is distance and distraction between the two.
Based on what occurs later in the play, this assumption can be confirmed by Lady Capulet's behavior of standing by her man when this very same issue returns and Juliet has a definitive answer for her mother's question.
