Basically the ADAM program gets data from drug abuse programs, and institutions that serve juveniles with drug and alcohol problems to sort of classify and record patterns in juvenile behavior that gear towards drug and alcohol consumption. It is like a Census,if you will, only that it gears specifically towards rehab, correctional, counseling, and hospital programs dealing with juvenile drug and alcohol abuse and it helps provide valid statistics that may help prevent and control drug and alcohol use among juveniles and adolescents. The also collect data from case workers, jails, and even parole officers.
