What kinds of things are happening in the world to develope a real life iron man suit?
Can somebody explain to me the possibility of builing a real life iron man suit. I am only 10 but I am very smart and a very good engineer.
I have looked into your request for information. I think it is wonderful that you are interested in this kind of technological research at a young age. It's never too soon to think big. If you look at the ideas of men like Jules Verne, you'll find that his fiction has become reality since he wrote is books.
There seem to be some technological studies and experiments which are attempting to find ways to protect soldiers with materials that are definitely something like Iron Man.
(As a favor, make sure you check out these links with a parent: I wouldn't want to provide a link that has any content—or even ads—that are geared to an older audience. And tell them about your ideas. I'm sure they would be fascinated.
Check out this first link that talks about suits to protect from bullets and broken bones.
The next site is from Discoverymagazine.com. It talks about the basis for the concepts used in the movie: they are based on some real stuff that exists...though some of it is not real. But the military is looking for possibilities to answer the same questions you have. The site is:
Check out this site. Its title is: "Iron Man made a reality: U develops exoskeleton capable of superhuman feats." And it has a picture. Published September 30, 2010, it's pretty recent. Read the article to see how they are progressing.
Lastly, I included an eNotes.com site on exoskeleton's. Man is often inspired by nature: see what you know and what you don't know about this concept that is being applied to suits like Iron Man wears.
Hope this helps you. Good luck in your search. Maybe one day, you'll be working with robotics yourself. If it's your dream, you can do anything. Stick with it!!
