What do women want when buying a new car?
The answer to this question depends on a multitude of variables, including the woman's age, family size, driving needs, finances, and personal preferences. However, there are some general triends that can be noted.
Women are still the predominant caregiver for any young children in a family. This makes factors such as safety and reliability important. Women who will be transporting children also look for space to accommodate car seats, easy access for getting into those seats, and refinements to make the trips easier on the children - such things as cup holders, power points for electronic devices, built-in video screens and sound access.
Women look for versatility. If the vehicle they buy is going to used to transport groups of children to activities, to haul groceries and other purchases home, to move furniture into dormitory rooms, and to take the family on vacations, the vehicle needs to be capable of being converted in various configurations to meet changing needs.
Women are concerned about the financial aspects of purchasing a car. Aside from the initial cost of the vehicle, they are interested in factors such as gas mileage, maintenance costs, the price of insurance, the length of warranties and the average cost of repairs.
And, because women are human, they are influenced by the appearance of the vehicle. Color, styling, accesories do enter into consideration.
