There are many ways in which you can appreciate a poem by Robert Frost or any othe poem. Let me list a few ways.

First, you can appreciate the verbal artistry of the work. The poem is really beautiful to read and listen to. So, on the most basic level, you should be able to appreciate the poem.

Second, you can appreciate the poem by your own analysis. For example, you can try to find out the authorial intent (even if many people have stopped doing this). You can try to find out the historical context in which the poem was written. This historical excerise can be quite rewarding.

Finally, you can interpret the poem and ask how it speaks to your own life. This can be the most rewarding thing that you do as a read of poetry.
