I believe that the answer you are looking for can be found in the "Mid Years" section of the link that you provided.  The images that, according to the site, are some of the finest of all time are found on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome.

Between 1508 and 1512, Michelangelo worked on this massive project.  During that time, he covered the ceiling of the Pope's chapel with a number of Biblical scenes that are very famous to this day.  This, for example, is where we see the well-known image of God reaching his finger out to Adam to bring life to the man.
