As was mentioned in the previous post, Randy Adderson has a conversation with Ponyboy where he mentions that Johnny is being charged with manslaughter. When Johnny and Pony were attacked by a group of Socs, Johnny stabbed Bob Sheldon in order to save Ponyboy's life. He did not purposely mean to kill Bob which is why he is charged with manslaughter. However, Randy tells Ponyboy that both boys will also appear in juvenile court for running away. In Chapter 12, Ponyboy and the other witnesses have their hearing. Each Soc testifies that Johnny acted in self-defense but was responsible for killing Bob. Interestingly, the judge decides not to ask Ponyboy any questions because he knows that Ponyboy is traumatized from the events and is not thinking clearly. At the end of the hearing, the judge says that Ponyboy is acquitted and the whole case is closed. 

The morning after the fire, Ponyboy is making breakfast when Two-Bit and Steve come over with that day's newspaper. After reading it, Ponyboy discovers that Johnny will be charged with manslaughter if he recovers from his injuries. No charges are going to be filed against Ponyboy. However, he will have to make an appearance in court so that the judge can make a decision about whether or not he will be allowed to stay with his brothers.

In the beginning of the story, we learned that after the death of the Curtis parents,  the courts allowed the Curtis brothers to stay together only if they stay out of trouble. However, because of all that has happened, there is a possibility that Sodapop and Ponyboy will be removed from their home and made to live in a boy's home.
