What should a person do to prepare for working in a learning organization?
The best thing that a person can do to prepare to work in such an organization is to gain a great deal of knowledge and flexibility. A learning organization is one that is constantly trying to change in order to become more effective and efficient. It expects its personnel to be able to learn and adapt. Therefore, a person who is going to work in such an organization would want to have a great deal of knowledge so that they could be able to handle a number of different types of jobs. They would also want to be personally flexible so that they could adapt as their job changes.
Preparation for work in such an organization, then, would involve both education/training and mental/emotional preparation.
