What is a BIG THEME in the book "The Outsiders"?
pick a THEME BETWEEN THESE- Loyalty and Love in Relashionships, or Vulnerability and Growing Up, also Think Before You Act. Please pick one of these then give me three Examples and where (try page #'s) or you cant put the chapter it is in and where in the chapter! REMEBER: i need THREE of anyone of those up there! please help!
Of these, the easiest one to talk about is "think before you act."
One clear example of this can be seen when Johnny and Ponyboy run off after Johnny kills Bob Sheldon. If you really think about it, it is not really clear that they would be in any less trouble if they run off. I don't think they would have been charged with murder anyway -- it was self defense. And if they run away, they're sure to be caught eventually.
A second example of this is when Pony runs off because of his fight with Darry. This is what leads to him meeting Johnny and getting in the fight with the Socs. If he would have just thought about it, he would have understood what Darry was trying to do and he wouldn't have run off.
