I love the creativity I always see on display at festivals of any kind. The foods, the arts, the music, the...well, the everything. I find thinking about them exhilarating and attending them inspiring, as I get new ideas for things I would like to have or do or make for myself or others. Watching people enjoy themselves is an added bonus, for me. Bring on the festivals!
Those who have fiestas know the answer to this question! Sometimes their festivals seem almost impromptu, but such fun!
The celebratory atmosphere, the camaraderie, and the variety of foods are all equally delightful. Usually a festival falls at the end of a season as does the Fall Festival in which people celebrate the bounty of the earth. Other festivals such as the Carnival and Mardi Gras celebrate in anticipation of a long period before being able to fete again.
For me, the anticipation of the upcoming holidays and cooler weather are the best parts of the festival season. We have many local, small-town festivals in my regions, and it's a time for people from the same small areas to come together. Almost everyone is in a good mood, and people are more willing to buy local wares, especially as gifts and to help someone else make money to buy gifts for his or her family--all of this makes us feel charitable.
My favorite part of the festival season is the anticipation of its approach. The weather is clear and crisp. The fall colors are bright and beautiful. There is a freedom of celebration after the long hot summer that fall celebrations welcome with open arms. Looking forward to it creates a buffer between the end of summer and the frozen cold of winter.
I think there is something about the cool air surrounding the Fall Festivals that make them feel rejuvenating. There is also something special about all the change in color that is unique to each area.
Autumn certainly is the time for festivals, isn't it? I am going to one today (the Micanopy Harvest Festival in North Central Florida). Fall fests are great for many reasons: weather, shopping, and socializing being just a few. Wandering the streets and vendor booths are a great form of relaxation and simple exercise, and it gives you a chance to view and sample products that are often not found in stores. Fresh, regional foods are usually a staple, and it's just about impossible not to bump into some old friends who are enjoying the same rewards.
All festivals bring joy and happiness to people by several means. These include the following:
- Creating an association between the festival being celebrated and some other facts and feelings. For example, Christmas is associated with birth of a great spiritual soul like Jesus Christ who brought showed us the path to love, happiness and peace. Similarly, the celebration of new year new year is associated with welcoming a new future.
- Providing a guideline for celebration by creating a tradition for celebrating festivals in specific way.
- Bringing together people
- Creating a feeling of joy and festival.
- Just giving a an excuse for people to celebrate and enjoy.
All these things make festivals the joyful experience by:
- Creating a mood and atmosphere of joy and enjoyment.
- Providing occasion for people to meet and participate in common activities.
- Provide a platform for fun activities such as dressing up well, dancing, and exchanging gifts.
- Meeting your near and dear ones.
when fests are round the corner, an exhilerating air envelops us. no matter how drab we feel, thers something that coaxes our spirit to be a part of the mirth. im of conviction that the glow on each ones visage is what cheers me the most..
Festivals, religious or social, offer us a lot of opportunities, such as shopping, socializing, travelling, visiting friends and relations and so on. Shopping may be an important part of festivity and it adds much fun and colors to the festive mood and occasion. But I wouldn't call it the most important aspect of a festival. Getting together with friends and relations is a much greater source of festive fun and joy. Togetherness and reunion constitute real feeling of happiness. Chatting and sharing experiences, moving about in close groups, going for a short excursion with the near and dear ones provide the real staple of festive celebrations. Shopping only adds the necessary glitter to this warmth of togetherness and companionship.
I think the best things about festivals is that you can have fun with your families and friends. Festivals are exciting places where you can learn about many things such as culture. The atmosphere would be lively and exciting with your loved ones. A good thing about shopping is that you can explore a variety of items ( clothing, furniture, food, fashion, etc ) and buy them. Shopping can be enjoyed in groups or alone. A good thing about these two activities are that you can enjoy them with your families and friends! The best thing about hanging out with them is that you get to deepen your bond with each other and have a lot of fun.
I just love being around my family they can create the best atmosphere and just make the whole experience whether it is shopping or cooking much more enjoyable. The great thing about festivals is that you can become immersed in an atmosphere of joy and fun since everyone there came to have fun as well.
