Ba(NO3)2 is called Barium nitrate.  It has other names such as Barium dinitrate or barium salt. It is soluble in water and form a homogeneous solution. It is also an ionic compound which dissociates into ions upon the addition of water. Its dissociation equation is:

Ba(NO3)2 ---> Ba^2+ + 2 NO3^-1

as 1 mole of Barium nitrate dissociates into ions, it forms 1 mole of Barium ions (Ba2+) and 2 moles of Nitrate ions (NO3^-1).
