What are examples of familial love in Romeo and Juliet?
In Romeo and Juliet, Lord Montague and his wife's concern for Romeo's well-being in act 1 is an example of familial love. Benvolio also demonstrates familial love by sympathizing with Romeo's depressing situation and offering him valuable advice to ease his mind. Lord Capulet also displays familial love by speaking highly of Juliet, having her best interests in mind and allowing her the freedom to marry the man of her choice. Romeo demonstrates familial love by refusing to fight Tybalt.
