What is an example of synecdoche in this poem?I need to write an essay and it must include a synecdoche i but am having trouble in finding one. PLEASE help!

Hi there-could you state which poem you have in focus? Perhaps then we could look at synecdoche.


Incidentally, synecdoche in its most simple form is where the poet/writer uses part of a figure of speech to represent the whole thing/person/place/organisation. So, for example, 'the boards' could represent the stage and theatre.
