Like everything else, water can exist as a solid, a liquid, or a gas.  It occurs in all three of these forms naturally in our world.  Here are some examples:

Solid water can be in the form of ice.  You can see it in anything from ice cubes to icebergs.  Solid water can also be in the form of snow.  These are the most common types of solid water.

Airborne water is in its gaseous form.  The most common forms of this are clouds and fog.

I suppose you could say that both oceans and the Great Salt Lake are forms of salt water.  And perhaps you can say that rivers and lakes and rain are all kinds of fresh water.
