I was very excited to make the enotes 'Top Answerers' board this week. Does this achievement get logged like a badge award or is it worth points?

Nope. Its something that changes everyday, so it wouldn't be possible to record that. If Enotes were to try that, your profile would have a note saying "Top contributor of the week on x-x-x." Imagine how huge each editor's profile would get !!
Though it does carry its own thrill and the accompanying disappointment when you check someday when you've been busy doing other things for a while and find your name isn't there even in the list of the top editors of the month :-(
We all get tickled when we gain some other sign of recognition from eNotes! But no--being a Top Answerer bears no additional badge or point award. It is its own reward. And a jolly nice one at that. Well done kiwi!
I think enotes should carry a health warning in regard to this! It definitely can get very addictive, and it is funny how points and badges can be another source of motivation to answering questions. I think Scott mentioned that the new website would also bring with it new badges, but I haven't heard any more about it yet. Well done and congratulations!
Agreed! This is not something which is part of our profiles, probably because it is a changeable thing rather than a consistent area of expertise. That certainly does not diminish the thrill, I know. Congrats!
