I want quotations pertaining to " wisdom" from Their Eyes Were Watching God.

I already have 4 quotes.

- when Nanny wants Janie to have protection by getting married with Logan

- when Janie keeps $200 inside her shirt

- when Tea Cake and Janie move to Everglades early to get the room

- when Janie whirls the cylinder so that she would have warning if Tea Cake shoot her

And I need 3 more quotes.

Janie imparts a great deal of wisdom to her friend Pheoby in the frame story both in Chapter 1 and Chapter 20.

Much of the wisdom centers on the ideas of friendship and gossip:

"An envious heart makes a treacherous ear."

"Now, women forget all those things they don't want to remember, and remember everything they don't want to forget. The dream is the truth. Then they act and do things accordingly."

"People like dem wastes up too much time puttin' they mouf on things they don't know nothin' about."

"Ah know all dem sitters-and-talkers gointuh worry they guts into fiddle strings till dey find out whut we been talkin' 'bout."

But the greatest wisdom, of course, comes on the topics of love and self-actualization:

"Then you must tell 'em dat love ain't like somethin' lak uh grindstone dat's de same thing everywhere and do the same thing tuh everything it touch. Love is lak de sea. It's uh moving thing, but still and all, it takes its shape from de shore it meets, and it's different with every shore."

"Let 'em consolate theyselves wid talk. "Course, talkin' don't amount tuh uh hill uh beans when yuh can't do nothin' else. And listenin' tuh dat kind of talk is jus' lak openin' yo' mouth and lettin' de moon shin edown yo'throat. It's uh known fact, Pheoby, you got tuh gothere tuh know there."

"Two things everybody's gpt tuh do fuh theyselves. They got tuh go tuh God, and they got tuh find out about livin' fuh theyselves."
