In order to become a lawyer, you will need, of course, to go to college and get a four-year degree.  After that, you will need to go to law school.  In order to get a law degree, you need to go through three years of law school.  After that, you will still need to pass a bar exam to become an actual lawyer.

As to whether it is hard, that will depend on how good a student you are.  Law school classes are hard and they tend to have professors who are very tough on students, challenging them verbally in class instead of worrying about their feelings the way high school teachers and most college professors do.

If you have good verbal and analytical skills and a strong work ethic, you should be able to handle law school.
