Density or mass density is the mass of unit volume of a substance.

Density = `(Mass)/(volume)`

Mass can be in Kg, g, lb, tons etc.

Volume can be in` m^3` , ft^3, `cm^3` , l, ml etc.

so answer (1) and (2) carries the ration of a mass and volume.

Answer (1)---> `(lb)/ft^3`

Answer (2)---> `g/l`

So both answer (1) and (2) are correct.
