There are many bones in the human body, obviously. Some bones are better protected, but when you break little bones such as your fingers and toes there is not much you can do to fit it. Guard all of your fingers!
There are generally said to be four types of bones in the human body. These include:
- Long bones such as the femur and tibia.
- Short bones such as those found in the ankles and wrists
- Flat bones like ribs that are meant to protect internal organs.
- Irregular bones like the ones in the ears.
In our body we could find four main types of bones:long bones, short bones, flat bones and irregular bones. Long bones are located in our arms and legs, short bones are found in our hands, feet, and spine, flat bones, protect our organs (skull). Since their shape is flat, they a place for muscles to attach, and irregular bones, which are the rest of bones that do not enter in the categories mentioned above: long, short, or flat.
