In 90 minutes the train has gone 90 miles (from 12.45 to 2.15pm)

If the train is travelling at a constant speed, as assumed, then in the first 45 minutes (from 12 to 12.45) it must have gone 45 miles.

`therefore` **45 + 90 + 90 = 225 miles ** or ** 45 + 180 = 225 miles **

The time relates to the distance so it would be `3 3/4` hours- or 225 minutes which is **3:45pm**
