Is there any standard reference work that one may consult, for a history or historical development of Pakistani English Literature?

I have been looking for criticism on Pakisatni English Litrature, especially poetry (Omer Tarin, Daud Kamal and so on), but there is very little available online and almost nothing in print. Any ideas anyone?

You are correct that there is very limited criticism available online on Pakistani Literature in English, specially poetry, today.

The only published book that I am aare of in this egard, is very good one by Dr Tariq Rahman, the linguist/scholar and literary critic, entitled ''A History of Pakistani Literature in English'', which was published in Lahore, in 1990-1991. Sadly, it's probably out of print although am sure you might be able to locate old copies online and order if you wish to read. It must also be kept in mind that in only covers the period up to 1990, Dr Rahman didnt update this book later. Nor has anyone else written anythign very worthwhile of this type therafter.

I hope this helps.
