Are there any dynamic characters in the short story "The Chaser" by John Collier?A dynamic character is a character that will change.
Alan Austin is pretty shallow, and so does not change much during the story itself. However, the old man's perspective indicates that he will change—but that he (Alan) doesn't know it yet. Instead, the old man sets him up to change, by giving him precisely what he wants, and essentially trapping him. The dynamism of the character is implied, and fairly subtle.
