Hi there,

I don't think that either of those companies is still in existence.  I could be wrong, though.  I believe you are referring to an organization of Ukrainian Socialists called the "Ukrainian Labor Home."  It was a NY club (dump is more like it) that catered to Ukrainian revolutionaries who wanted to have their own place to hold meetings, dances, etc.  Ukrainian socialism not being what it used to be, I don't think the club is around any more.

As for the "Robitnyk Publishing and Printing Co," I am not as sure about this, but I don't think it is around any more either.  "Robitnyk" translates to "worker" from Ukrainian and therefore this was a publishing company that catered to socialists.  There was a newspaper that existed for a while in Ohio called "The Robitnyk" but the publishers found the atmosphere in Ohio to be hostile and decided to move their presses to New York.  I wonder if they are related to your company...at any rate, if they were around in 1940 (the move happened around 1920) I doubt they survived the war when hostilities toward socialists ran high.

I hope this helps!  If you have stock certificates they would be great memorabilia for the socialist USA party (maybe as an eBay item, as well,) but not much else.  I posted a few links to more information if you are interested.
