We have to solve for x given that : (3/5)(x + 2) = x − 4

(3/5)(x + 2) = x − 4

=> 3x/5 + 6/5 = x - 4

=> x(1 - 3/5) = 6/5 + 4

=> x(2/5) = 26/5

=> 2x = 26

=> x = 13

The solution of the equation is x = 13

3/5(x+2)=x-4

5(3/5(x+2))=5(x-4)

3(x+2)=5x-20

3x+6=5x-20

6+20=5x-3x

26=2x

x=26/2

x=13
