We have to solve for x given that 3^x = 243

3^x = 243

=> 3^x = 3^5

as the base is same for both 3^x and 3^5, we can equate the exponent.

This gives x = 5.

We  notice that 243 can be written as a power of 3. We'll write 243 = 3^5, to create matcing bases both sides of the equation.

3^x = 3^5

Since the bases of exponentials are matching, we'll apply the one to one property of exponential.

x = 5

The solution of the equation is x = 5.
