==> -2x - 16y = -34
Now add both equations:
==> -13y = - 26
Now divide by -13
==> y= 2
Now to find x, we will substitute in (1):
2x+ 3y = 8
2x + 3*2 = 8
==> 2x = 2
==> x= 1
