Present an argument that health care should not be financed by tax dollars and provided equally to all citizens.
Health care should not be provided in this manner because that would lead to a “Medicare for all” system that would be inefficient.
We certainly should try to provide health care to all people. We should subsidize it for those who cannot afford it. But we should not have a government-run system taking in tax dollars and doling out health care. The reason for this is that government systems like this are not good at providing efficient, low-cost care. It would be much better to have a system in which insurance companies have to compete to gain customers. This would lead to lower costs because they insurance companies would put pressure on the medical providers to provide good-quality care without the unnecessary tests and procedures that are often provided in our current system.
