Please describe the Constitution Party.
The Constitution Party is an extremely conservative political party. It started out in 1992 as the US Taxpayers' Party and changed its name to the Constitution Party in 1999.
The Constitution Party is a party which holds positions that are very similar those taken by the Tea Party. As its original name implies, it is a party that is very concerned with lowering taxes and drastically reducing the size of the federal government. However, it has moved beyond this to arguing that the US needs to return to what it sees as the values of the Constitution. To the Constitution Party, this means a return to what it sees as Biblical values.
This is a very conservative party that would like to see a much smaller national government and would like to explicitly acknowledge Christianity as the basis of US government and society.
