The question is based on the similarity of triangles.

In similar triangles ratio of the corresponding sides is same.

So let's find the scale factor

Scale factor=2/1.5

                 = 1.33

So, Principal's height = scale factor x 1.3

                               = 1.33 x 1.3

                                =1.73 m

So the Ashton's estimation for the principals height should be 1.73m.
