If you were writing a reaction (reader response) to"Othello." end witha paragraph that reflects upon your reaction to the play & explain, why you think this way considering that "it is readers who make meaning dependant upon their social, political, and cultural position."

I think that one of the most fascinating topics in Shakespeare's play is to analyze the emotional degradation of Othello.  How does this pillar of strength and confidence at the start of the play become so emotionally frail and weak as the play evolves?  What is it that Iago does to strike at the confidence of Othello?  Is it his own insecurity about his outsider status, being a Moor and a Muslim?  Is it because he is a person of color in a setting where there are only white people in the position of power?  Writing a response on the different factors through both text and action which depict how Othello breaks down from this position of strength could be a unique response that can explore the text and the reader's position of social, economic, and political position.
