Provide a scientific hypothesis and explain how one might go about testing it, either by confirming the hypothesis or using Karl Popper's strategy of disconfirmation.
I understand the difference in the theories but I do not know how to write about it or what a scientific hypothesis is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would break this assignment into manageable steps and use a few questions to guide my answer.
1. What is a scientific hypothesis and how do you test it? A hypothesis is most commonly defined as "an educated guess." Last year my daughter learned from her science teacher, "It is not a guess. It is a statement that can be tested." You test a hypothesis by applying the scientific method. See reference link.
2. How or when is a hypothesis confirmed? After multiple tests, a study of the results should provide either a bust or confirmation. In most studies, statistical calculations of the data are helpful.
3. What is Karl Popper's Strategy of Disconfirmation and how does it apply to the hypothesis? According to Karl Popper, inductive study may lead to false information. I would include a paragraph explaining the differences between the scientific hypothesis method and Karl Popper's method. Have one example to help explain how each method would be applied.
Hope this helps!
