It is sad to say, but it would be easier to give examples of gender inequality in our world. That said, there are a few areas where there is growing equality.
First, if we use America, as an example, there is gender equality in school admissions. For example, 51% of the students at Harvard are male and 49% are female. The same can be said for Yale and other elite schools. Second, in America there is also equality when it comes to voting. In fact, women outnumber men when it comes to voting.
If we look at other cultures, we see that a few Asian countries are making great strides. For example, in South Korea, there is a woman president - Guen Hye Park. To be sure, South Korea has a ways to go for there to be gender equality, but at least they are moving in the right direction. Another powerful woman leader is Angela Merkel of Germany. Also since Germany is the strongest economy in the Eurozone, she has a lot of influence and power. From this perspective, we can say that Germany offers another example of gender equality.
