Postmodernism in "Cloud 9" To what extent (if any...) does the concept and exposition of postmodernism reveal itself in "Cloud 9"? What specific techniques, such as Aristotle's Six Elements (Plot, character, thought, language, music & spectacle0, aided her in doing this? I've read and fairly understood about post-structuralism, however Churchill takes a leap forward here, and I would really love to dive a little deeper into the view of "Cloud 9" as a postmodernist movement (possibly taking into account the different re-productions staged over the years....). - JD

One element of the staging of the play is that the characters are often played by actors of the opposite gender.  Postmodernism is also engaged by the use of two acts that are 100 years apart, where the characters only age 25 years.
