In Poisonwood Bible Book Seven: The Eyes In The Trees, what is the fate of Mobutu?

mkcapen1 | Student

Mobutu had run away thirty-five years before in the book The Poisonwood Bible.  He had lived a fearful life having to always hide away.  In the book part that you are referring to, Mobutu is dying.  He lays on his bed in his hiding place and has labored breathing.

Mobutu has stolen many things when he was alive and now his hands are tired and skeleton like.  He is in a dark room and his breathing becomes heavier.  His hand falls off the side of the bed and a woman in white sees him.  She covers her mouth so as not to scream and runs out of the room to tell everyone that he had died.
