In A Midsummer's Night Dream, when does the potion get put into Demetrius's eyes? I know at the begining Puck puts the potion into Lysander's eyes, and then wakes up and sees Helena but at what point during the play does Demetrius get the potion?

In Act II of the comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare, Demetrius is pursued by Helena, whom he insults.  But, as Oberon watches, he decides to have Demetrius become the one who pursues.  He orders Puck to search for the Athenian and anoint him.  However, as Puck searches for this Athenian, he encounters Lysander and Hermia, who have wandered into the glade.  Mistakenly, Puck anoints Lysander, thinking he is the Athenian.  When he awakens he sees Helena and falls in love with her.

It is not until Act III, Scene 2 that Demetrius is anointed with the"love-in idleness," but this time it is Oberon who does the anointing.
