4x-(6x+11)= 5

First we will open the brackets.

==. 4x -6x -11 = 5

Now we will combine like terms.

==> -2x -11 = 5

Now we will add 11 to both sides.

==> -2x = 5+ 11

==> -2x = 16

Now we will divide by -2.

==> x = 16/-2 = -8

Then, the answer is : x = -8

 4x -1 (6x+11)=5. There's an invisible -1 one outside the parentheses

Distribute the -1 inside the parentheses.

4x-6x-11=5

Combine like terms.

-2x=16

Opposite operation of Multiplication? (Division) -- Divide both sides by -2 to isolate x.

x=-8

4x-(6x+11)= 5

Remove the parentheses by distributing the -:

4x -6x -11 = 5

Combine like terms.

-2x -11 = 5

Add 11 to both sides.

-2x = 5+ 11

combine terms again:

-2x = 16

Divide by -2.

 x = 16/-2

x= -8

 4x - ( 6x + 11 ) = 5

First distribute the -1

By distributing,  you should get

4x - 6x - 11 = 5 now combine like terms ( 4x and -6x )

By combining,  you should get

-2x - 11 = 5 add 11 on both sides

By adding, you should get

-2x = 16 divide -2 on both sides

By dividing,  you should get

X = -8 which is your answer
