Adverbs are words that modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs. In the case of frequency adverbs, they tell us how often something happens. There are a number of frequency adverbs in the English language. Some examples of frequency adverbs in sentences include:
- A body at rest will always remain at rest unless it is acted on by a force strong enough to make it move.
- Human males never give birth to children.
- American men sometimes act as stay at home parents to their children.
- It rarely rains in a desert.
All of the words in bold are frequency adverbs.
