I agree with the posts above regarding privacy as it is probably one of the biggest issues being debated right now. Another issue I would like to suggest is the lack of human interaction due to the development of technology. As social networking sites have been developed and on-line communication became much easier, the need for human interaction became small and insignificant. Communicating on-line has its benefits such as financial cut down and time management but I personally believe that moderate human interaction is necessary among individuals to avoid social isolation.

I think another IT issue you could look at is the way that so much of our documentation, private or otherwise, is now on computers. This does raise the rather problematic question of just how secure or not our computers are and whether they are safe places to store such delicate and sensitive information.

I think one of the clear IT management issues we have seen on film is that information can quickly get out of control.  Consider movies where technology is used to hunt people, for example.  A company has a lot of information.  Information is power, but information can be misused.  Legally and morally, the IT manager has to manage the chaos.
