Examples of biotic factors are: (1) Predation: It is an interaction between members of two species in which members of one species capture, kill and eat up members of other species. The former are called predators while the latter are spoken as preys. (2) Commensalism: It is the relationship between two living individuals of different species in which one is benefited while the other is neither harmed nor benefitted except to a negligible extent. Examples of abiotic factors are: (1) Temperature: Temperature is the most relevant environmental factor. (2): Water: Next to temperature, water is the most important factor which influences the life of organisms.
