I also agree with the expression - under most circumstances, I think a picture can communicate things that cannot be expressed with words.

I agree with this statement.  For me, the proof comes from coaching sports.  I can talk and talk to my players about what has been going wrong.  But if I can show them video or stil pictures that demonstrate it, they believe me a lot more and the point comes across more effectively than if I were simply talking.
