I also agree with the expression - under most circumstances, I think a picture can communicate things that cannot be expressed with words.

If there is anyone who has not seen it, look at this picture:

http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.instablogsimages.com/1/2011/11/26/dog_mourns_at_casket_of_fallen_navy_seal_pzt2p.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.petsclan.com/10-amazing-pets-news-2011.html&h=374&w=600&sz=38&tbnid=rvWbs_8W3TEWYM:&tbnh=86&tbnw=138&prev=/search%3Fq%3Ddog%2Band%2Bcasket%2Bpicture%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=dog+and+casket+picture&docid=bmaEdqhSC9JIkM&sa=X&ei=YQmXT6S4OIfU2QXSn6jPDQ&ved=0CFUQ9QEwCA&dur=2518

The story of devotion and loyalty contained there can not be expressed in words as well as in that picture.

I agree with this statement.  For me, the proof comes from coaching sports.  I can talk and talk to my players about what has been going wrong.  But if I can show them video or stil pictures that demonstrate it, they believe me a lot more and the point comes across more effectively than if I were simply talking.
