Persuasion

If I say that voting for congress and presidents of the united states are specicific situations that cause for persuasion how do I go about discussing this. I want to make sure I am describing this as specific as I can. All I have now is that we need the best candidate to run an organization an it causes for persuasion in picking between many or just two people running for congress or president to pick best qualities.

These days, candidates try to push people to believe one way or the other.  There is no room for moderates.  Since everything in two party based, there is no compromise.  So you just try to mobilize you base, and get as many people who think like you do to vote for you.

The people running for office need to persuade those who may elect them - the voters. Looking at the situation this way, we see the definite need for candidates to be persuasive, to persuade voters.

Phrasing the process this way, we can see more clearly who is doing the persuading and who is being persuaded. Articulating the roles in this process will be important if you are going to write a complete description of the role of persuasion in elections.
