What is love? The dictionary defines it as
feelings of warm personal attachment or strong attraction to another person.
But it's more than that. It's more than the physical sensations of sweaty palms, dry mouth, heart palpitations, sexual arousal, loss of appetite, or lack of sleep. It's more than just wanting to touch, feel, caress, or make love. It's a feeling of contentment and completeness; it's the feeling of two halves coming together to make a whole; it's the sum and substance of life; it's the reason for living; it's the awakening of the soul. Love is a whole body experience that's unique to each person. It's both exquisite and painful. It's either heaven or hell.
Can two people fall in love at first sight? The answer is yes. That instant their eyes meet, or their fingers touch, or their lips caress is the instant their spirits reunite, their souls meld to each other, their senses come alive. There is an instant awakening, a flow of desire, that is incomprehensible, yet real. Life seems suspended, unreal, everything else melts away. They see only each other and life will never be the same again. Thus it was for Romeo and Juliet.
