You need to transform the polar coordinates of the vector `(34 lt -37^o)`  into cartesian coordinates such that:

`cos(-37^o) = x/34 =gt 34cos 37^o = x =gt x = 27.15`

`sin(-37^o) = y/34 =gt y = -34sin(37^o) =gt y = -20.46`

Hence, you need to perform the subtraction such that:

`(23, 13) - (34 lt -37^o) = (23, 13) - (27.15 , -20.46)`

`(23, 13) - (34 lt -37^o) = (23 - 27.15 , 13 + 20.46)`
