I really enjoyed The Lightening Thief.  I never realized how interesting Greek mythology could be.  The way the gods and demi-gods were woven into charachters was great. I loved the epic nature of the story.

I have read this series, and I really enjoy it. The author was very clever in bringing Greek and Roman mythology into the 21st century. I highly recommend it for middle school level and younger readers. I'm not sure that it would appeal to older, high school aged teens.

My favorite book in the series is the first one--I guess because it's the hook that drew me into the whole series.

I've read this series and I absolutely love it. I'm a very avid reader and Percy Jackson includes mythology which I really really love. It was great watching the plot change and some leaving you wondering what will happen next, as well as the character development. I think my favorite would be the Last Olympian or Battle of the Labyrinth! I can't really choose but I won't give it away why ;) I would recommend this series to anyone

I have read the entire Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and I really enjoyed it. The stories made Greek mythology  really interesting and taught readers the stories and beliefs of Ancient Greek culture. My favorite book was the Battle of the Labyrinth because it had a lot of action and suspense to really keep you interested.

The last olympian, but at the same time it tells the story from the prespective of an ADHD adolescent.

I loved the series and I think the Last Olympian was the best out of any other sereis. \

I learned a lot about greek gods and what they could do..

I just finished reading the first book to my students. They are all hooked! They are experts on Greek God now as well. We are just about to begin the second one.

My only complaint are the constant use of "idiot" and other put downs. But, it is what it is!
