Participate in Lovely Bones questionnaire for producers/studios of the movie!!!

I created this group to see if you would be interested in a quick video survey/discussion regarding the novel The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. I’m currently working on behalf of a marketing firm, the movie studios and filmmakers to try and gain some insight.

We’d be delighted if you could answer some questions regarding the book and its themes, for example whether you would go see the upcoming movie by Peter Jackson and if not why etc.

If you are interested you can contact me here or at the email below. The final video will be used for internal marketing purposes with the studios!

Thanks,

I agree that the survey should be posted here on the discussion board. Many diverse people would no doubt participate. That being said, the movie was a good adaptation, but I think the book was much stronger. More details, more descriptive. However, unlike some movies, if you watched the movie first, you would still find the novel enjoyable.

I do believe that this story could make a powerful movie, but there are many ways such a movie could go.  I love the idea of putting the questionnaire here for multiple responses, if that is possible - lets use enotes to full advantage!  I'd be happy to help in any way.

Linda,

Why not put the questionnaire here on enotes?  Then you will probably get more responses...especially if it truly is only a few questions.  Sounds like it might be fun.  The book is a great read, and I'd be curious to see how it is dealt with as a movie.

I DIDNT GET A CHANCE TO READ THE BOOK BUT I DID GET A CHANCE TO WATCH THE MOVIE AND IT IS VERY POWERFUL IT IS VERY INTERESTING HOW THE CHILD TELLS HER STORY EVEN THOUGH SHE IS IN HEAVEN THAT IS A POWERFUL INSIGHT AND A VERY GOOD IDEA THAT THE DIRECTORS  CAME UP WITH VERY SMART AND INTELLIGENT

The director's didn't come up with that.  The book is written from the point of view on Susie while she is in heaven.

I haven't had a chance to see the movie, but I heard that even though they left things out, it was still a good adaptation of the book.
