In part 3, chapter 6, Winston and Julia do betray each other. In fact, they both admit to having betrayed each other when they meet in the park.

The betrayal centers on what happened in Room 101. When faced with their worst nightmares, both Winston and Julia begged O'Brien to do it to the other person. We know that Winston, for example, asked O'Brien to torture Julia with the rats because he was too terrified to experience it himself. As for what happened to Julia, Orwell does not reveal these details to the reader.
