Some of the positives of Pakistani life include: the economy, employment, technology advances
I believe the negatives and horrors of the Taliban far outweigh any positives regarding Pakistan. The treatment of the women and girls is horrific.
Pros: The cricket! You can definitely talk about the way that Pakistan has some very strong links, as its cultural heritage shows. You can also talk about other aspects of Pakistani culture that are important to you.
Cons: As other editors have suggested, I think you have to at least make reference to the precarious position of Pakistan in terms of rebel groups such as the Taliban and how they have operated within Pakistan's borders.
Pros: Pakistan has some technological advances on its side compared to many of the countries in its region. The country has just make inroads with China--a formidable ally to say the least.
Cons: Some of the lawless areas in Pakistan's border region cause fear that the Taliban or a rogue organization might gain control of Pakistan's nuclear weapons. Pakistan is highly dependent upon the foreign aid of countries such as the United States with which it currently has a questionable relationship.

I suppose that you could put the fact of having nuclear weapons on the plus side. You could say that this shows that Pakistan is a major power in the world because it has been able to get nuclear weapons even though countries like the US do not want it to have them.
Against points: 1. loadshedding
2. resource crisis
3. less industrial revolution and technology.
