Oklahoma's History

I live in Oklahoma and am a HUGE fan of our history. I don't know why, it's just always interested me from the moment I started school. So, if anyone has anything to say on our most memorable moments in history, please do share.

Oklahoma is an interesting state, because it actually did not join the union until pretty late.  It was 1907 when Oklahoma became the 46th state, so it was actually one of the last states to join.  Another interesting fact about Oklahoma is that many Indian tribes were moved there.

The town that I live in, Vinita, is small, but it has it's own history. Like we were a town before Oklahoma was a state, and we were the first town to have electricity in Oklahoma. We're very small, with about 6 or 7 thousand.
