Here is the new version of my reply. Apologies but I accidentally sent the other one without editing. Anyways, here it is.

The Kitchen House, a masterpiece by Kathleen Grissom, is an excellent book which brings the reader into the story and because of this I urge you to read the whole book.

However, I shall give you a short summary, around one hundred words, so that you'll be able to follow your discussion in class.

Miss Martha is hit hard by Little Sally’s death. This causes her to immediately go into labor. Martha wants nothing to do with baby and does not name baby. Lavinia grows attached to baby of Miss Martha Lavinia and names the baby Campbell. Belle knows the truth about what happened in the hog-killing. Miss Martha starts to grow a connection with Lavinia because she is reminded of her sister. Christmas coming- Martha is excited as Captain will return.
